Battlefield 2: Next Patch Gets New Map
The outrageously popular PC
shooter Battlefield 2 has revealed that a new patch
is in the works. On the official Battlefield 2 page,
a post in the Community Update section gives
cybersoldiers their first sample of what to expect
in the next update.
The Road to Jalalabad map; which has been running on
test servers, will be on of the biggest additions to
the game. The map will be free of charge and will
not be part of a booster pack.
In addition to the map, improvements with
gameplay, bug fixing, and issue resolving are only a
small chunk of the big changes being made with the
patch. More
details are expected to be announced in the future.
The open beta test for the patch will be scheduled
for July. DICE did not mention any specific time
frame for the patch's release.
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury
With
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury, EA and DICE are going
forward with their plan to release new content for
their popular multiplayer action game in the form of
booster packs. Available online only through EA,
these booster packs don't have quite as much content
as a traditional expansion pack, but then again,
they also feature a price that's less than half that
of traditional expansions. In Armored Fury, the
ongoing world war between the United States, China,
and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition arrives
on American soil, and players will once again have
to battle on huge levels, either on foot or in a
variety of military vehicles.
